Getting an e-blade on my evo this week and just had a query.

Are they reliable enough to run as an only marker? Have heard storys about them flaking out in the rain. So if it is the case they aren't too good in kak weather I'm going to buy a 2nd hand cocker and just leave it mechanical.

I know the batterys don't last too long in them, but apart from that are they reliable?

Any help apprecited.

Dave,

I've been running one for a while now in the wet and dry and have always had a couple of backups on standby - which I have never had to use. I guess the only weather that would bother me with it would be the sort we had at the Series 2003 in January at Elsham (were you there?), where just about every electro went down - the mechanical cocker users were laughing (hail to my X-Mag mechanical mode on that day).

I guess I would always have a backup just in case.

So they are tolerant to normal rain then, just not when the heavans open up :) Cheers for the info fella :)
