not sarcastic as such, just taking the wee wee. i don't like these people who buy these sights knowing they don't help one bit, but thinking it'll make em look cooool. pointless waste of money if you ask me. but seriously, get an ion, or failing that, get a new barrel then lecky hopper.

Once you've sorted the barrel, assuming you're on CO2 go for an expansion chamber in the foregrip, double trigger and motorised hopper.

The Crimson King
23-11-2005, 07:42
heh, you make it sound like it's the 1920's:D "hmmmm, yes, one of these new fangled motorised hoppers, they'll never catch on":p . but seriously, you won't need a great one, summat like a reloader 2, or an egg, as tippys don't shoot fast enough for a better hopper to be worth it.

23-11-2005, 21:56
Well I was going to recommend a 12v Revvy but I don't know if these are still available :p

nooooo, revies suck, sound activated is the way to go, as then you don't have prob's with certain colour paints.

nooooo, revies suck, sound activated is the way to go, as then you don't have prob's with certain colour paints. i dont no if was my loader, but the sound activated device was a pain in the ass, it would not always work, it just felt like it would work when it felt like it, i think mine was an empire cheapo loader, cant remember name, but i prefer the revies anyday over that cheap crap. was just probs a dodgy loader tho. :p

Going back on what someone said ages ago ne need to upgrade on the bolt. Someone did a test of loads of bolts and powertubes and they either saw only a very very tiny advantage or no gain. The only reason to buy one is if you break the stock one or can get one amazingly cheap, stock is basically best.

but i cant be bothered starting a thread to one question.....

are these possible to get in the uk or is it the usa only???
or anyone got and knows how to use a laithe

I've seen them on ebay I believe but couldn't name you a shop that would sell them, although I seem to believe rumours that they do not make a difference.

From what I can remember, people were saying that the same amount of energy is required to open the valve and so the kick will be the same or something? Kinda makes sense but if the hammer is moving faster and lighter (speed to compensate for lack of weight) then it will have less time to produce kick?

I shall try and dig out the threads that were been spoken coz it had words from TechT in it too so they might be able to talk more sense then me.

Having said that it is possible to make your own with a drill/lathe but you need to compensate for the lack of energy with a spring kit or some other modification.

They normally just slide out, well at least they did on all the tippmanns i've had in bits. Havn't you got a manual for it.

its not the tube im bothered about its getting the valve out and back in to the new power tube

BOD
17-04-2009, 15:01
Once you've unscrewed the bottom line and velocity adjuster grub screw you should be able to poke a large allen key or pencil through the front of the power tube and push the valve out of the back.Oh, and when you put your new one back in, make sure you've got all the relevant holes lined up before you push it in.

thank you so very much for your help bod

Michaela2z

Like Bod said undo the bottom line and take out the velocity screw then it should push out, it can sometimes come out with a spring though so point down lol.

When putting it back together get the holes lined up and be prepared for a fair bit of tapping and pushing to get all the holes lined up, they can be a pain sometimes.

Also when putting the bottom line back on remember to try and line it up with the ASA and frame coz its hard to adjust when its screwed back in. You can also test the valve before putting it fully in to make sure its not leaking (the bottom line may requier PTFE tape but it generally ok). Take it easy on the 2 valve screws, it is very easy to tighten them too much and strip the threads, they are only short!

Finally don't worry about starting a new thread, if other people are looking for the same info then having it in it's own thread will make life easier for them. Hope it all goes well whatever your doing to the valve :)
