personnaly i liked the old 1 better, the new 1 looks like a five year old has scribbled his dads name on a wall with a crayon.

Ah yes, but can you appreciate the mixing colour backgrounds, a 3d drop shadow with an offset blur and the colour matching that has gone into it - not to mention the knowledge of colour reduction in the gif format, although it has been designed in at least 16 bit?

We were in need of a new logo as the old one was very difficult to reproduce on signs and clothing and impossible to reproduce in embroidery.

The new logo means that we can have tops and plating trousers produced and will also look good on the back of sponsored teams.

I think it looks good, and as Andy says, its more like a logo, more distinctive, whereas the other one was more like um.... a big and complicated logo? Not sure what word I need. ?Sign? ?Picture? I don't know.

I've got a good idea. The logo is only on here and the shop at the moment (not on any stationary or clothing) if anyone thinks they can make a better job, post it up here. Lets see what everyone can come up with.

Tell you what as well. If someone comes up with a better design that we then use, I'll send them a pair of Draxxus Trousers in the colour of your choice worth £55.

Lets see what we get.

i decided to go for a simple design as Andy said the old design was far to complex to reproduce in embroidery, or to produce signs ect.:)

What u have to think is thta all the most well known logos r simple ones, take the google logo for example.

andy, my opinion..... KEEP THE LOGO

its cool, its simple and it grabs your attention. it also reminds me of the fat willies surf shack stuff from the 80s and early nineties, so that can only be good, their logo was similar, but its instantly reconisable, so I like it.

have a pair of trousers andy.... :)

Change the file from bmp to jpeg bmp are huge.

Iv'e had a go and here it is although I dont really think I shoulda put that logo on the left hand side but i'll have another go.

i made up this design.....its simple but it catches the prospective buyers eyes.then there is the address which is plain and easy for anyone to see.....if not on a red shirt :D but coulours can be easily changed....the paintball splat was a quick thing of mine...but im sure it can be made better or jus find one on a site and use it.

this took me 1 hour cos of usin rubber to get the outlined effect!!

by the way ive only jus finished a course in art on logo design thats where i get all this bollocks talking :D.....neway enjoy.

p.s. an hour of work in my hols!!!!!thats got to deserve a pair of trousers:D

Im just about to take a course on graphics at college so hopefully my skills will develop i've left school just this year so hopefully I will learn alot more. I dont think my designs are brilliant but there not bad seeing as all the skills are learnt are from school and myself.
