Well I've had that happen to me before, giving some guy money and getting nothing.....It's very annoying and I dont blame you for worrying.
Still, at least this time it's paypal - they have mediation for disputes anyway, so if he wasn't for real, paypal wouldn't be the best choice.

my car broke down so i couldnt meet him
the goods were re advertised by him that day on this forum

cheers Gassy, however i live in northern ireland and it is just a little more difficult to pop over when i feel like it.
chap refuses to respond to email, text, pm or phone calls.
gave him the ultimatum of finding out what happened to my stuff and getting in touch with me by today, but have had no word. will try the chaps on p8ntballer as well and then it is paypal tomorrow and police after that.
i believe he said he went to congleton alot (im guessing thats "on the edge") and not the northern quarter.
however if its northern quarter, i should be there on sunday if you want to send me his details i will have a word with Markie C for you see if he knows him

oddly enough he was on the blower tonight and said he will text me a tracking number so we will hold the big guns for a little while and see how it turns out.
well mate, at the end of next week, i will be back home, and i only live 10 mins away from congleton, so im sure we can sort this out if it continues!

just so you are all in the know, Barry (reallysneaky) did get the tracking number to me annd according to the Royal mail, it is officially lost.
this news has been forwarded on to the seller, with a request for a refund.

after no response from seller, i claimed via paypal and Barry (ReallySneaky)then got in touch very quickly. after presumably checking the tracking number for himself, he foned me on wed or thursday evening and said that my money had been sent back to me via recorded delivery.
needless to say, he has yet to provide a tracking number and refund has not arrived........................
is this a case of avoid this person at all costs? hmmmm........

After claiming via paypal there is no money in this guys account. he phoned me the other day to say the stuff which was lost was returned to him by royal mail and that he would post it to me.
guess what?? it has not yet arrived.
i would appreciate if anyone knows this chap (barry) to either drop me line with his whereabouts or give him a message from me engraved on your knuckles.
£50 worse off now, not the end of the world but people like this have changed my opinion on buying and selling and not for the better.

thanks to all on this board who have taken an interest. I accept that things can and do go wrong however i have my suspicions. as barry said he and i had a chat by text this morning and he seems to be trying. otherwise why would this be dragged out at all??

this guy is unbelievable. phoned me the other day and told me that items had been posted by courier on tuesday. still no sign of them, and he is now also refusing to get a refund sorted.
If theres no refund by the emd of the day please forward IP addresses to police.
