I've been looking to get a JT Proflex mask, but was just wondering, what exactly are thermal or thermocured lenses?

Basically, there are 2 ways of having 'thermal' lenses.
Firstly, the JT and Dye goggles have 2 layers - the outer layer is the Lexan polycarbonate that gives the lens the strength it needs. The inner layer is thin clear plastic. They are separated by a very thin foam grommit (like a bog out of shape o-ring seal) that mantains a small air gap between the two layers. This allows the inner layer to be face-warm and the outer layer to be atmosphere cool. This stops condenstion building up on either surface.
The V-Force goggles have a thermally cured inner. Basically they are one single lens, but the inner surface is heat treated in a special secret magical way (I don't know how they do it). This treatment makes it hard for water to condence on the inside of the lens.
So there you go - goggle technonlogy explained by Tom, the local bitch.
