Git git git......
What bits did you dismantle. You've probably bust a ring in the cocking mechanism. Next time i'm down i'll take my cocker toolkit to it and if that doesn't work you owe me £179 on top of the £75.
For p-ballin percy I don't know if were on the same wavelegnth with this marker but until now and suiters cleaning technique I haven't had many problems with it. The only time I had trouble was down to co2 getting wierd. My new air bottle cures that problem. There were a few of these markers at the Swat big game which mostly worked fine, One guy who had covered his in so much camo you lost it when you put it down had a trigger problem but I think he solved it. The otherones worked fine.
Accuracy isn't bad for a marker in this price range. It comes down to whether your using Air or Co2. I used a 18" freak barrel with very few breaks but the shiny one that comes with it is fine for rec ball and preferable over short distances or close quarter games because you can manouver it out of bushes quicker.
For speed the trigger is very fast. The semi auto mode is much faster than full auto which is just as well cos you cant use full auto on UK sites. Beware you will use a lot of paint and probably need to refill your gas after 1000 balls. I have an Empire loader on my rex which keeps up with it just fine. Batteries last well so far well over 5000 balls without a change. They are 9Volt square ones. 1 for the marker 2 for the hopper. Trouble is if the battery goes down mid game you need a screw driver to change it.
I haven't shot a lot of markers but for the price you can't go far wrong with the E-rex. I'd reccomend this marker to anyone who's on a budget or working their way up but I would certainly invest in a decent air system If you want get serious.
PS Bob any news on the Semi only chips.
Try cocking it before you gas it up :)
If the main spring is strong enough to overcome the valve spring then it will leak gas through the valve and out the barrel. Not something to worry about as long as it shops when u cock it :)
It is totaly electric
I have a DME1 version (no gauge, full auto or bust fire. LED not LCD) and would recommend the E-rex range too, Only problem I have is that it shoots too fast so I have to get an electro hopper else I get jammed up.
I would only use cheap batteries for the marker. When you store the marker Gameface recommend that you take the battery out of the grip not just turn in off (I just turn it around). If you don't do this the battery will wear out. I have a tendency to forget so I use the cheapest 9v I can find.
As for range it depends on the barrel allot, I can shoot at greater range and more accurately then rental tippman 98's (who can't) with a stock barrel, but upgrade and you will reap the rewards. I would recommend the smarts parts progressive barrel if you do go for an upgrade barrel, I tried it with my marker and it works great.
Co2 is fine for recball but I do see allot of rec ballers going air anyway, if you can afford it go for it.
