ive been playin paintball for a few years now and i finally took the plunge an bought an ion and (excuse my inexperience) what does a blackheart board actually do?

i only understand a few of these specs like what the heck is trigger debounce
and PSP legal mode ?

PSP, millenium etc are tournament series with their own rules with regards to cappign and ramping etc, so if your playing in the PSP you set it to PSP mode and your legal.

Trigger debounce is a software program to reduce a bouncing trigger (iirc)

ABS is anti bolt stick, bascicaly ups your dwell a couple of points on teh first shot to minimise bolt stick

Sorry to bore you but I’m gonna get into some detail here, there is no point in getting a better board, the ion itself has the only 2 legal firing modes in Britain, semi auto and ramping, no ramping event will ever go over 15 bps, and you will be among a select few if you can get over 17 bps in semi

Another reason not to get it, if you have a stock ion which I do believe you do, is that with the stock internals the ion can only just go above 17 bps, 18 is about its max, this is since the dwell cannot be loved below around 44-45 before you get shoot down, since the dwell is adjusted in 0.5 millisecond intervals starting at 8ms

44 * 0.5 = 22
22 + 8 = 30ms for the dwell

The recharge rate is fully adjustable however and will have no effect at all on the marker other than altering its cycle speed. The recharge rate is then adjustable as well and this is also measured in 0.5 ms intervals starting at 27.5, but we want it at 0 to get the highest bps possible

So recharge = 27.5ms and dwell = 30ms

57.5ms is the time taken for a full cycle, since there are 1000ms in a second

1000/57.5 = 17.4

So the marker as stock cant really cycle any faster with a new board, without internal upgrades to the bolt and adding a QEV (which allow you to lower the dwell) the gun wont cycle faster so a new board will not increase speed, gives you modes you cant use legally, and costs a lot of money, the only advantages are the debounce adjustment, which you can normally solve by adjusting the trigger, save the £85 for playing or for upgrades that will help such as a bolt (less mass so less kick) a barrel kit or a QEV to stop dirt and crap getting into your noid

it wont be till the end of the month till i buy a new barrel i want to use the marker a few more times till i decide what i need

oh and where can i get moded internals cause im i bit gun ho and i want to fire as fast my ion is startdard apart from a remote line an i have some cash to play with

right o, the upgrades are mainly ordered from america, it all depends, the MAIN and must upgrades are

ASA / on off
Feedneck, q lock
Trigger, either fat bobs or CP
barrel, its your choice

after these, most of the upgrades are a 'get if you need', but i really dont understand why you want moded internals to make it fire as fast as possible, since you can never get to above 17bps in semi (if you can your a rare person imo) and ramping is always capped at 15, i would personally save the money and get playing more once you have the above upgrades

i guess your right i would hardly ever use it to that speed i can get a intimidator up to 17bps but
a)i cant hold it up for long

b) takes a while for me to spool up so to speak

plus my hopper probably couldn't keep up
is there any way to remove the cap on rebound mode?

ill take it you are refering to ramping, and no the stock board is limited to 17 bps on both semi auto and ramping, and 10 on auto and 3 shot burst (us model), the kick in activation speed as far as im aware is 5 bps but im not 100% on this,
