Do you attach the On/Off valve where the air attaches so you can turn the supply off or is this for something else ?

Can you get guages to see how much air you have left in your supply (assuming they attach between the gun and supply).

Thanks in advance

Hi,

First we need to know if you really mean air or if you mean CO2. CO2 bottles for paintball have a valve, which is either a pin valve (screwing it in turns opens the valve) or an on/off valve (turing the valve on the bottle turns the gas on/off). So if you have a CO2 bottle, there will be a valve in it already (hopefully). If you want on/off for air, then tell us what air system and bottle type you are using.

Pressure gauges - you can get them - however they're not much use for CO2, unless you are regulating it boefore running it into your gun (most/all high end guns do this - few/none fot eh low end ones do). You can put (and most/all airsystems come fitted with) a pressure gauge to say how much pressure is in the tank (0 - 3000 or 0 - 4500 psi). However, you canb't do that with CO2 tanks, as the CO2 is a liquid, with 800psi gas on top. As gas is drawn out of the tank, the liquid CO2 vapourises to maintain the pressure. Thus a CO2 tank would show 800psi from full until vitually empty. You can weigh a CO2 bottle to see how full it is though.

The on/off valve is the superior of the pin valve in terms of how they work.

The on/off valve will be loose - however when you turn on the gas the pressure will lock the bottle and make is as difficult to turn as the pin valve is. Phil is right - the on/off bottle is superior as you can degas your marker without taking your CO2 bottle off, which in turn can save wear on bottle o-rings.
