I am very new to the sport of paintball but have tried to learn as much as possible about the parts involved in a marker. I am looking to buy my first marker and don't know quite what to go for. I can afford 325 at the most. Someone has offered me an upgraded angel LE for around 320, is that a good deal? advice please.

Hmmmmm,
Well, how long have you been playing? Are you looking to play rec-ball at your local site with other random players, or do you want to play walk-ons or tournaments? Thats a big factor deciding what to get, along with your budget of course.
Besides the marker itself, you also need:
Goggles,
Gloves,
Barrel,
Air system / CO2 bottle (Angels don't work well on CO2),
Hopper
Now, onto whether the Angel LED is a decent marker - not too sure as I've never used one, however, the rumour mill says this about them: "First angel produced, had some reliability issues" Not heard anything else much about them really, they're quite an old beastie these days.
The problem you might have is that Angels do not run well on CO2, they are designed to run on compressed air. A new air system will run you into a few hundred pounds, an second hand one a bit less - the problem, is the bottles used for high pressure air are very expensive thus people rarely sell second hand ones, they just sell their gun and get a new one, but keep their air system. Anyway, I'm rambling - give us some more info on what you want to get out of the sport of paintball and give us some more details of the Angel please!
u say7 gloves but they are more of an extravagence not really an essential. and if ur sayin u need a second barrel it depends on the orig if ur sayin he needs a barrel well yeh duh:D:D
Well,
I don't agree with you, but we will have to differ in opinions on this - I think gloves are an essential bit of kit, you don't - fair enough.
Secondly, he just said he was offered an Angel LE for around £320. He didn't say if that included an infinity (or any) barrel, nor any of the other kit I listed. Hence my request for more info :) I didn't mean that he needed a second barrel, just a first! Sorry if you misinterpreted me!
u say gloves are essential.....what sort do u use??i goin ta get some i jus believe its not absolutely needed.
nm aboot the barel i was jus wonderin what u meant.
I started off using old fingerless mountain biking gloves when I played woodland, but I got some full finger raven gloves when I started playing tourneys (thanks to my girlfriend, they were a present :) ) Now I've got the new JT 2003 gloves as part of our sponsorship deal. I'd say theres not a lot of difference functionally between the raven and JT - they both offer good back of hand & finger protection and have non-slip palms and they're durable too. Basically you get what you pay for - Fat Bobs had some decent full-finger gloves on the site a while ago - they might still; be there - they looked quite good.
