View Full Version : Which Marker To Buy,Running Before Crawling.
I am looking at getting my first marker and was wondering what to get, i want to get one that will hold its own against most other markers in walk on's and rec ball and that is reliable.
I had my eye on the Smartparts Impulse (£400) and the Diablo E-Rex Elite DME3 (£179) but sre these markers too advanced for a begginer. Any ideas?:)
erexs are reliable but go for a slightly cheaper one.....type of trigger depends of preference u can go for standard or elec.make sure u save some money for other things like masks co2 somethin to clean it wid oil(very cheap).....if u go for the cheap but still good marker ull have more for luxuries. an upgraded medium priced marker can hold its own against expensive ones. and recball ur site is probs open and have there own cheap markers (cheap for buyin in bulk) and a medium will be better neway.....but remeber a players abilities is the main part so dont go pointlessly spendin money on a expensive marker straight away.
i am new also, i am looking at a Bone Daddy. they look very nice and good for newbs Check here (http://www.fatbobspaintball.co.uk/acatalog/info_512.html)
cheers devolve, points taken:D

Wotcha - I've been asking pretty much the same questions at Fat Bob's, and Andy recommended the Inferno Terminator highly.
Apparently it's dead reliable - you couldn't kill that sucker with a stick! I've not used one myself, so this is not exactly at personal testimony, just my $.02.
HTH,
The Inferno is the most reliable marker you will ever see - they're used at sites across the country and we all know the battering that punter guns take. When they eventually do go wrong, they are easy to strip down and fix. A great starter gun :)
down in surrey all the centres use Tippmann 98's :/
Is the Diablo E-rex Elite DME3 not a good marker, i have me eye mainly on that one.
Hey Tom im from Surrey (south), but the infernos r used quite alot in the south. any ideas in the diablo elite DME3.:D
erexs are nice...i have a dme1....ask fatbob he may have some more......there really good...just make sure to strengthen trigger covers by paintin other side with superglue
weorks like a treat if cracked

Get a Dragun TES! Optical eye and 20bps. Is reliable, and shoots fantastic! (Speed and accuracy).

If your wanting to spend £400 ish on a new marker,as opposed to a 2nd hand one,buy a 2003 Autococker out of the box their good and youcan upgrade them 'till the cows come home ,and they'll get better everytime:D
Cheers guys, decided on the Impulse

hmm first time gun tough one
well you could do what i did start at the bottom and end up with 5 markers
or save a little and get somthin that you can use and upgrade as u need it.
the impy is quite good but initialy they can be pricy
it depends what you wanna do if you just rec ball thats cool but if you wanna start playin tourneys you would need to think a bit better
id say a cocker you could probably pick up a good right hand feed one for about 200-250 noops
after that you can upgrade till yer hears content.
Recballin these babys are acurate so you should hit what your aiming for in one.
tourneys? no prob pick up a race or eblade frame strap it on and away you go
wanna pimp it up go for all the shineys, derlin bolt blade frame ergo regs
any way hope this hepls but dont forget good stuff is gettin cheaper and cheaper im sellin a angel for very reasonable price if your intrested.
