Can anyone help me. I went down to my local site during the holidays and filled up on air, but the only thing wrong was that the air had some gunk in it,so without knowing i was firing away and now its totally packed up, it dosent fire all the time and the dwell is fully down.

i cleaned it up and white powder from the air is all over the boared no matter how many times i clean it HELP!

Air with gunk in shouldn't make diddly difference, it has to go through 2 filters to get into the gun.

Dwell right down  try 52 from bottom.

But before all that, change the battery and check teh batt connections

Right o ill list all the things ya need to do to get it back to normal settings and on semi

First off, enter the programming mode where the light is on solid red (no blinking) by pressing the programming button twice, you then want to press the power button to adjust the dwell all the way down, as in till it stops flashing both lights, you then want to flick it back round to solid yellow to then increase the dwell, you then want to press the power button 52 times to increase the dwell, this should then make the ion cycle fully and is back to the stock setting

Now turn the ion onto blinking red, and bottom out this setting again by pressing it all the way until it stops registering new presses, this isn’t what the board is set stock to but will enable you to get just under the fully 17 bps out of it

Finally onto fire mode, get the programming mode to double blink red, press the power button once, 4 presses might be better just in case, since that way no matter what setting you were on (even the US board) you will be back to semi auto

Hope that helps ya buddy

Any thing else, give me an email or add me on msn with

I'd love to know how dirty air (which I've never heard off, but is plausible) has shagged your board

The only thing it goes through is your 'noid, and if that's dodgy try stripping and cleaning if that dosen't work get the soldering iron out and replace it

my bet is was that it was grease and lube that got in, hense why i love QEVs

But even that, left uncleaned for a year isn't going to kill it (I've cleaned mine once in a year)

How's yours running with a QEV? was going to get one but didn't fancy the stories of constantly shredding O-rings

mine working fine, i do need to change an o ring now, but i have had it in for 5 walkons now, and never changed one from the start so it was bout time, it does help as well, every time i open the gun up there is aload of greese and shit that has come out so its all good, a better bolt would help as well to reduce the kick and improve cycle times further

anything else ya want to talk about it give me a shout on msn

It's all good man, my Ion is just a back up marker now, although I might chuck a couple of quid at it and get a 360 QEV and a Firebolt

Khanzo
