View Full Version : paintballs
many people have personal preferences to what the best paint is etc. and i was wondering what paint you use, and what gun you use it with. i use Zap chronic, with a mag,but the mags new, so havent had a chance to see how it performs with it. but in my spyder i only ever had 1 ball break, but it tends to not break on impact too well either!
Hi, i use Diablo Blaze and Midnight on a Tippmann 98 it does the job doesnt break in the barrel just good cheap paint:D, only had a couple of breaks cos the gun was bringing in Liquid C02, not good

i use chronic as well and i think their great as when erics shoots me ( which is alot) they dont break. And they break most of the time when i get him. I think zap have come up tops with a great ball.
soon the tables will turn, and i will mow you down with my impulse, it wont matter that 1 or 2 dont break, because one of the 200 is bound to!
Lets just see how your autococker compares to my impulse.......

I have a level 10 RT and have used Victory and Diablo Blaze recently. I must have shot over 3,000 balls without a break so far since I got it.
I have found both to be inconsistant in size, but the Blaze always breaks on target and are slightly more accurate. I have had too many Victory balls 'bounce' when they hit their victim....

On the few times I've use Victory I also found it hard and prone to bounces.
I've found that basically, it comes down to whether you get a good batch or a bad batch of any particular paint.
Get a good batch, it flies straight, is brittle etc etc
Get a bad batch, it flies like a boomerang and wont break even if you shoot your mate in the back of the head for a laugh (not a laugh for your mate tho).
I find the best policy is to try everything and use the best for as long as it stays good. If it gets bad, then change paint. Since pretty much every brand at a tournie costs pretty much the same, theres no reason not to swap around (unless you're heavily sponsored in which case shut up and stop complaining that you get *ultra-cheap* paint.

That allstars stuff was shit.! we were on the opposition and had more bounces off us from the allstars stuff than any other, i personally had one land on me, picked it up and i couldnt squeeze the little blighter. they were solid, like frozen maltesers.

Yes, the bruises up & down my legs will testify to this. Eh FJ ?
I had problems with allstar breaking in the gun last time i played at Sheffield have used it before on many occasion with no probs switched to some black stuff and it worked fine couldnt see where it was going though:p that was through a mag on air but before that co2 does this make a difference???
ps used marbliser at bg2k2 last year and that was fine
Maybe they did freeze the paintballs..... i hear they cover a longer distance when frozen.

Ahh nobody M8. I think FaDeh's getting himself confused, cos FJ likened the paint we had at the weekend to "frozen maltesers"
I don't think anyone's stupid enough to try that at a site. Imagine the kicking they'd get !:D
o rite i thought some 1 had actually frozen the paint "ouch" im sure if anyone got caught doin it they get a reet paste-in.....
yeh the "frozen malteasers" just reminded me on what ive heard. thats all tbh.
Markers are quite easy to pick out which one is the best and reliable etc but correct me if im wrong...
it seems to me there are more types of paintballs than the markers themselves so there will be a lot of seperate opinions for each type of paintball that can't really be relied on
Life i suppose :(
very true ( my opinion ) i used these rps allstars in me shocker and they were "ok" but not brill, when i got home i tried em in me sabby and they worked alot better....dont realy prove much i supose apart from different paint works better in different markers... am i right i dont want people to think these are my words from the gods again....lol ;) ( fleisher sorry M8 if im talkin like a voice from the heavens, just tell me to shut the fack up if thats how im sounding "again" ha ha )
