    Question Sp1 board problem?

    Hi Guys and Gals!.
So i've recently got and SP1 and a Vibe, both second hand, but in good nick. I've used both for several days woodsball and general mucking about, however the SP1 has developed a fault that I think is board related, and iI just wanted some advise as to where i go from here.

Briefly, when fully gassed with co2 (and the markers are both set to co2!) and brand new Duracell battery inserted, I pull the trigger and get a small puff of gas venting inside the grip. The bolt does not move, and no gas comes through.

This is what i have checked so far

    1. Brand new duracells. I know these markers eat batteries.
    2. Fully filled CO2.
    3. Regulators set properly as per manual.
    4. Bolt lubed with SL33k
    5. Markers set to CO2 (1 flash when plugging in battery)

When i had done all of the above i thought i had a dodgy solenoid in the SP1 so i decided to swap the control board from the Vibe into the SP1 to confirm this as they are identical... and now the SP1 works fine and the Vibe does the same little farty noise and no bolt movement thing?

Obviously having only swapped the board and not the solenoid, it cant be a faulty solenoid that is causing the problem

I'm pretty sure therefore that my board has gone down.
Does anyone know if it is possible to get the board checked or reflashed? Possibly with 3 shot burst and full auto like they have in the states!

    Many thanks in advance

    Ben

I dont know if the power settings for the solenoid is adjustable, there is nothing in the manual about it. I even checked Smart Parts website for anything relevant, but did not spot anything.
If anyone knows how to adjust the power settings, please let me know!

As for 3shot mode etc. I know they are illegal, I was just digging for a response! Sorry.

    check your input pressure.

drop it right down, then bring it up a little at a time, trying to fire every 1/4 turn or so.

Just a quick update to all.
Biscuit it would appear you were spot on.

I found no reference to Dwell settings anywhere on ZPSDB or Smart Parts Website, however trawling through other forums i came across how to check the dwell, and guess what? It was set to 15ms not the 65ms it should have been!
i have no idea how this happened, but if it happens to you here is how you check and adjust the Dwell on both the Sp-1 and Vibe (UK boards and older US boards)

    To check Dwell setting
    1. Disconnect Battery
    2. Hold down trigger
    3. Connect battery, power led will illuminate and stay on, or flicker rapidly
    4. Release trigger, LED goes out
    5. Wait a few seconds and the led will begin to flash slowly
    6. Count those flashes! the number is your Dwell setting, CO2 should be about 60 blinks, HPA about 45.

    To adjust Dwell

Follow the above procedure until you get to number 4, then
    5. To increase the Dwell press and release the power button, 1 press adds 1ms to the dwell.
    6. To decrease the Dwell press and release the trigger, again 1 press decreases 1ms
    7. When you have added or subtracted the amount you need, just wait a few seconds and the LED will blink you new Dwell setting.

Easy peasy when you know how!

    Regards
