In the last two weeks, we've had two cases of dodgy dealings within the for sale section.
Both completely avoidable by one simple action.
ASK A MODERATOR.
If you are new to paintball, you can't know everything about paintball, the equipment or the people selling gear.
A simple PM to a moderator to ask advice, or even a post in the sale thread itself can pay massive dividends and help to stop you buying a mule.
Follow these simple rules and you shouldn't go far wrong.
1) Don't even look at a sale if the users name and a date are not visible on a piece of paper next to the goods offered for sale. (The mods will pick these threads up in good time and delete them anyway)
2) If you are unsure about a seller, ask someone. If you see a low post count, then there is nothing to loose by finding out about the seller. Paintball is a very small world, someone will know the seller. If no one does, use the Fat Bobs 3rd Man service.
3) If you are communicating with a seller on another format eg. e-mail, x box live etc, ask yourself why the sale isn't being played out on the forum.
4) IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT IN ANY WAY, USE THE FAT BOBS 3RD MAN SERVICE
