    Tippmann down on power !!!

I have a Tippmann A5 and I used to run it on c02 with no problems. I now have to run it on air, so I brought a new bottle and the most I can get is 245 were as my EGO with the same bottle on will get 300+.

I have tryed new springs in the tippmann and even streching them abit, its well looked after with no known leaks.

Some one did mention that the EGO runs a low pressure reg but that I might need a differant bottle for the tippmann.

    Can anyone help?

The bottle should work with both markers, if you have been using CO2 it may have cracked the powertube in the A5 as they are plastic and the CO2 can cause them to crack over a period of time.

Stupid question, but have you cleaned and lubed the main moving parts and frame that they sit in?

My mate had this problem, turned out to be as simple as that. When you rub a bit of kitchen towel down the fram, there should be no black residue, that's the powedercoat and it creates a tonne of friction.

Give the marker a good all round service. Clean and lube all o-rings as they'll seal better. Check your receiver halves' bolt tension as well. If they're too tight, it can restrict the cycling action. Powertube is defnitely worth a check. If you continue to run only air, you can go for a plastic one again. The cold CO2 causes the stock plastic ones to crack sooner or later. Kinda like the cyclone ratchet in that sense. A case of 'when' rather than 'if'.

If that doesn't work, I know you've mentioned springs, but I believe that could still be the source of the problem. I had two 98s that solved similar problems fixed with uprated springs.
