    Spyder Sonic

Hi i bought a Spyder Sonic second hand, the marker fires okay but you can hear air going down the barrell when its gassed up, what would cause this? a damaged oring or is it something major?

    Hey,
Try checking the cup seal on it, if they are damaged it usually results in a leak down the barrel.

The cup seal is the part that forms a seal with the Valve body. Not too different from the exhaust valve in an Ego.
To get to it you have to remove the fore grip (Probably have to remove the part ASA so that you can do this. )
Then once the foregrip is removed. that will reveal a screw holding on the front plug. Unscrew that and you should be able to remove the front plug. (Be carefull there's a spring in there. )
Once that's off you can access the valve.
Unscrew the cup seal from the pin and replace it (or give it a clean. Might be dirty)
then reassemble it. in the reverse order that they came out. ie pin in first. then the guide then the spring.

    Edit:
Good stuff. Might just have been a bit of dirt in it or something.

try cocking back the bolt before screwing in your tank... Mr. wallace is correct any leaking down the barrel would be caused by the cup seal in the valve assembly
